Rob Brooks - the Projectionist has become a Video Star!
Rob Brooks is our #SMTB Guest for Episode 8 of Social Media Traffic Blueprint Insider Podcast. Rob completed the #SMTB coaching program between April and June 2009 and has been a projectionist in New York for most of his life. Rob came to the realisation that he wanted to work with people and after trying eBay decided to move more fully into Internet Marketing. With all of the excitement associated with the opening of the doors on Maria’s Andros’s Social Media Traffic Blueprint on the 31st of July USA time. We include some some tips for contestants in Maria’s video competition for 2 backstage passes given away each valued at $5,000 (naturally these tips will work for any online video).
Rob Brooks, New York USA Business- Rob Brooks has been an e-bay powerseller for 2 years. Rob now has turned his attention to video marketing. Rob is the author of the successful e-book “The Beginner’s Guide to Making Video Infomercials that make Big Money”. Rob now has a growing subscriber list. From his list Rob is currently helping several people learn how to make successful videos using the law of attraction.
Rob’s on-line business is all about helping others succeed. He also digs deep to help others where they’re personally stuck so they can now have an outcome of believing in their self. Rob does his on-line business with the philosophy to not chase money but get in the flow of the money that already is being spent. This way he just concentrates on other’s needs and when they need something they gladly buy it through his affiliate link. Rob is a recent graduate of the landmark forum and soon will be taking their advanced leadership course. The self growth experience Rob had there is helping him to be very present when working with others to help them. Rob believes the most important quality to have in life and business is integrity. Rob wants his time here in life to have meaning for future generations. He says the only way he can full fill that is being a source of light and hope to others.
The SMTB course and the teacher Maria Andros has have a profound positive affect on Rob’s life. This is not a course that is in the past to him. The strength he experienced during the course carries over to empower Rob’s life everyday now. Rob says the information in the SMTB modules were top notch. He admits he has far more to implement from the course, but says that’s part of the fun that there was so much there that he has a workable blueprint for years to come. Maria Andros is very special to Rob. He thinks of her as he would any good friend. When Rob had questions on the class Q&A, Maria listened well to what Rob was really asking and gave him through and to the point answers. During Rob’s half hour one on one phone call with Maria she lifted him up and touched him in a way that he will always treasure. Rob recommends Maria’s products and videos to everyone, believing that everyone can learn something very positive for themselves just by watching her.

This is the way #SMTB Insiders Do It!
In Episode 6 of the Social Media Traffic Blueprint Insider Podcast, I gave Posterous a wrap. During the Social Media Traffic Blueprint launch March/April 2009, I created a Posterous blog to help the community promote their video comp entries Social Media Traffic Blueprint Insiders.
I was probably like you are now. Wondering if Social Media Traffic Blueprint and Maria Andros were as good as they seemed. I got excited about the competition.
I made a QIK video using my phone as my first video entry and shortly after that I made a second video entry.
Anyway to cut a long story short. I didn’t win the comp, I did do the course, and Maria recruited me to be a member of the Community Support team for the #SMTB program that ran from April to June 2009.
What an awesome experience that has been. The value that I got from the #SMTB community inspired me to create this site #SMTB Insider to give my fellow students and myself a platform to tell our stories and promote our products and offerings.
With the reopening of the doors on Social Media Traffic Blueprint and a new video comp I see a new #SMTB Community growing. I find myself inspired by the entries, the way the contestants are sharing so fully of themselves, and by the excitement and anticipation they must be feeling. I want to support this growing community. So I create a playlist of all the competition entries that I find, and I post them here on this site SMTB Contest Entries and Winners. The post gives contestants, some actions they can take to promote their videos in the current Why I want Maria Andros to Personally Coach Me Contest. Most important of these 10 tips is the Friendfeed group that I have created to assist contestants promote their videos to Maria, it’s called Maria Andros Vid Comp group. It’s only for contestants in Maria’s current competition.
I know Maria likes the Friendfeed group format. Why, because she had me embed an SMTB Youtube Friendfeed Group in our “members only” area [Note: this group is only for #SMTB Students]. A Friendfeed Group like the Maria Andros Vid Comp group, allows Maria to easily find and view videos in one place with out searching all over Youtube. It also improves your videos position in search results and increases the visibility of your video.
Hint: commenting on your video in the Friendfeed group automatically posts your video to twitter (provided the Friendfeed user commenting has default setting). Now of course I can’t guarantee that having your video in this group will get you on Maria’s short list, but it’s got to help right?
Adding your video to the Maria Andros Vid Comp group on Friendfeed is easy. So the feed is kept to your videos only it is a closed group, so I manually add your videos. To do that I need your permission and some basic details, however I have created a simple process.
It is as simple and painless as I can make it without making the group public which could lead to anyone adding any type on video or link. Why is he doing all that you might ask? Well some of the contestants may have entered the competition using my affiliate link Social Media Traffic Blueprint so I really want to look after anyone that has come through my link. However the vast majority of you will have been introduced to Social Media Traffic Blueprint via someone else’s link. So again you might ask why is he helping people if he doesn’t make anything out of it?
Here is why. I believe that to adopt long term change to make the changes that I want in my life and the changes that you want in yours the most important factor is to stay connected to a strong community of practice, (if you want more on this see my last video Communites of Practice and the #SMTB Community) I have found that by contributing to the tribe that has formed around Social Media Traffic Blueprint great things have happened for me and my business. So I hope that whether you win Maria’s competition or not, purchase Social Media Traffic Blueprint or not, that you will contribute to the community of people who are doing Social Media the right way and that you will know the rewards that come from that.

If there is to be a moral to this story, it would be people really love it when you over deliver. When you give of yourself, people respond. This is a universal truth, it’s human nature.
In Social Media this can happen so fast and with such magnitude, that your business can literally double overnight. Or as #SMTB Insider Brian Williams recently told Maria in his testimonial you can pick up $75,000 in 30 days (people on the early bird list will see this testimonial).
